Barbara Bissonnette's "College to Career:" New Asperger’s and NLD Employment Intensive Starts Monday, September 17

A new Fall, 2012 group is now forming for Barbara Bissonnette's College to Career: Asperger’s and NLD Employment Intensive workshop series, starting on September 17th and continuing on successive Mondays through November 5 (except that in deference to Columbus Day, a class will be held instead on Tuesday, October 9).

This proven 8-week course, regularly offered at NESCA, combines group meetings with individual coaching to guide participants through every step of the job search process.

At its conclusion, participants will be able to:
  • Identify specific jobs for which they are qualified;
  • Complete a personal profile of talents, skills and challenges;
  • Compose a resume and cover letter;
  • Conduct an informational interview;
  • Establish a personal network;
  • Develop a 30-second 'elevator' speech;
  • Create a LinkedIn profile;
  • Learn how to answer common interview questions;
  • Understand disclosure and accommodations;
  • Develop a realistic job search plan.
The meetings take place in NESCA's offices on the second floor of 55 Chapel Street in Newton, MA, on consecutive Mondays (except Tuesday, October 9) from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Group size is limited to 8.
