Enroll Now! Five-Part Series Starts Tuesday, February 26

For additional information or to register, please call Amanda Renzi at 617-658-9800 or email nesca@nesca-newton.com.

Space remains available in our five-part series, beginning Tuesday, February 26, on preparing students with special needs for a successful transition from high school into post-secondary education and beyond, into the workplace.

Session I: But She’s Only 12! The Importance of Starting Early

Led by NESCA’s Director of Transition Services Kelley Challen, Ed.M., C.A.G.S., we will discuss why families of children with special needs should start post-secondary transition planning even before the age of 14, when MA schools must provide assessment, planning and services.

Educational Advocates/Small-Group Leaders

Following Kelley’s presentation, we will divide into small discussion groups, each facilitated by an educational advocate and NESCA clinician. Our discussion leaders below are all highly-trained, experienced and thoroughly familiar with transition issues.

Andrea Brandeis
Jennie DunKley
Catherine Mayes
Trish Orlovsky
Terry Sauro
Reva Tankle
Marjorie Walsh

Sessions take place in the lower lobby of our building at 55 Chapel Street in Newton, from 7:00 – 9:00pm. There is ample free, off-street parking in the lot directly opposite the main entrance. The cost is $15 per session or $60 for the full series of five. Seating is limited.

To register, please call Amanda Renzi at 617-658-9800 or email nesca@nesca-newton.com.
