The capstone of our lobby renovation was the installation today of many colorful and engaging original works of contemporary art, from the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum's Corporate Art Loan Program.
As a Boston Globe article noted in February, "With the commercial real estate sector experiencing a burst of activity after a long lull, building designers and art dealers report that developers and corporate tenants are willing to spend money on artworks that both decorate and help humanize corporate spaces with color and intrigue.
The deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln has had 12 new members enroll in its corporate art loan program this year, said program head Elizabeth Geller. Subscriptions costs $1,500 to $10,500 a year, and grant members access to original, contemporary work from local artists."
Enjoy lunch in the lobby cafe and admire the artwork in comfort as your child is being evaluated. And consider joining deCordova--it's an underappreciated community resource and very well curated!
