From the Maynard SEPAC
On Monday, March 3rd, from 7:00 - 8:45pm, the Maynard SEPAC will welcome Nadine Briggs of Simply Social Kids and Donna Shea of the Peter Pan Center to speak to the community about Social Success In School: Identifying and Preventing Bullying.
When:    7:00 - 8:45pm Monday, March 3, 2014
Where:  Fowler School Library, 3 Tiger Drive, Maynard, MA
In this seminar for parents and professionals, Briggs and Shea will cover the key elements presented to the students during their work in the schools in Maynard.  They will share the language and ideas that the kids covered on discerning the difference between bullying and conflict, how to defend and deflect negativity and mean comments, conflict resolution skills, when to tell and when it’s tattling and how to walk and talk with confidence.
They will also address the key role that adults play (as well as what to do AND say) to prevent bullying from occurring or continuing.
