Planning for your Child’s Future

John Nadworthy, Co-author of The Special Needs Planning Guide: How To Prepare for Every Stage of Your Child's Life, will present on a variety of financial, legal, and practical advice about planning for a child with disabilities.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning is a set of mental processes related to planning, organization, attention, focus, and impulse control. Executive Functioning is very important to success at school and in life. This workshop will provide an overview of Executive Functioning, including strategies for supporting your child to develop executive functioning skills.
Co-hosted by the Office of Academic Challenge & Enrichment and the Citywide School Advisory Group.
Basic Rights in Special Education

An introduction to parent rights and responsibilities under federal and state law. Designed to help parents learn how to be effective partners with the school, to decide the child’s eligibility for special education, to plan, make decisions and monitor the educational progress of your child.
