April 9th - Facing Facebook: A Skill Shop for Kids and Parents

From the Tyngsborough SEPAC

March 17, 2014

The Facing Facebook Skill Shop focuses on using Facebook safely and the power of the Internet. It will include videos and discussion of topics such as:
  • Private is not private
  • Sharing too much
  • Online predators
  • Cyber-bullying
It is recommended that kids aged 13+ (or children of any age already using electronic devices) attend with their parents if possible.* If your kids do not want to attend, parents are more than welcome to come alone.

This talk is open to educators as well and to the public. It is not just for parents of children with special needs.

When:      7:00 - 9:00pm Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Where:    Tyngsborough Elementary School
205 Westford Rd, Tyngsborough, MA 01879

Speaker:  Nadine Briggs, Simply Social Kids

RSVP by email to Amy-Jane Maciel at ajmaciel@comcast.net  if you plan to attend or have any further questions.

* Note: The content of this program will be serious in nature, intended to communicate the real dangers of the Internet.
