Children have a natural tendency toward caring and kindness. However, in today's fast-paced, materialistic and technology-driven culture, it can be easy for them to lose their innate sense of empathy. Heather Jack will share what she has learned about how best to help kids relate to others, find their place in the larger community, and help them develop their individual sense of compassion and responsibility.
A selection of hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be served as well as beer, wine, and soft drinks at no charge.
When: 6:30 - 8:30pm Tuesday, September 23, 2014
Where: Science Discovery Museum
177 Main Street, Acton, MA
Speaker: Heather Jack, Founder of The Volunteer Family and
