On Saturday morning, we received a copy of the following note to Nancy Roosa--one of our senior neuropsychologists and dear friend of 20+ years--from Anya Shvartsman, a speech-language pathologist at Needham's Architects for Learning with whom she shared a client. It simply confirms what we've long known about her clinical insight, communications skills and exceptional ability to connect with her clients and their families.
With permission, we reprint it here, names changed to maintain confidentiality, to be sure that Nancy gets the credit she's due.
Dana just shared Charlie's report with me. I just wanted to say that it is one of the best, most well-written neuropsych reports I have ever read. It is very accessible not just to other professionals, but to parents and teachers as well. I think you captured Charlie perfectly, and beautifully. And I'm glad you could validate how much progress he's made, while still advocating for the continued supports he needs!
Thank you so much and have a wonderful weekend :)
