For individuals who struggle to communicate, using technology to speak can be an exciting but overwhelming prospect. We are excited to offer a collaborative approach to help AAC users, combining the clinical expertise of the Ely Center's Pamela Ely and Sean Sweeney, with that of Dr. Kerry Davis, district-wide AAC specialist in the Newton Public Schools.
This evening will feature:
- Individual and small group learning opportunities for Augmentative Alternative Communication users and their families.
- A holistic, collaborative approach to expanding language and social skill opportunities using AAC.
- Opportunities to increase independence and confidence speaking to peers, friends and family.
- Offering a supportive and fun learning environment connecting families and individuals who use AAC.
When: 6:30 – 8:30pm Wednesday, November 12, 2014
Where: The Ely Center
84 Rowe Street, Newton, MA
