Workshop in Wellesley Thursday, March 19: Special Education Rights and Beyond

From the Wellesley SEPAC

March 11, 2015

According to the National Institutes of Health, fifteen percent of America's school children have a learning disability or learn differently. Under U.S. federal law, there is a process to identify these children and provide services to them.

Join us to learn about this process, and how to re-assert your child's right to an appropriate education. This presentation will help parents understand the eligibility and IEP-writing process, and what to do when the parents and the districts disagree.

Presenters: Tere Ramos, Esq., Disability Law Center, and
Lori Cimeno, Director of Student Services,
                            Wellesley Public Schools

When:   9:00 to 11:00am Thursday, March 19, 2015

Where: Wellesley Free Library - Wakelin Room
                    530 Washington Street, Wellesley MA

This program is free and open to the public.
