On Wednesday, September 30th, 2015, Ivy Street School will hold its second annual Excellence in Special Education Summit, co-hosted by NESCA and the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA).
Comprised of two parts, it will feature:
Morning and afternoon workshops held at Ivy Street School on topics relating to brain injury, autism and effective transition programming. Participants may be eligible for free Continuing Education Units (CEU's).
The goal of the Summit is to highlight innovative research and its practical implications for special education. This event is free, but we ask that you RSVP by registering online to reserve space. You may register separately for each component of the Summit.
This is NESCA's newspaper, and you can easily have it delivered weekly to your inbox. In it, you'll find updates about our pediatric neuropsychology practice, with offices in Newton, MA and Londonderry, NH. It will also feature discussions on topics of interest to families, as well as announcements of upcoming special events.
We will also provide timely reports on significant developments in science, education and the law as they relate to children with neurologically-based special needs, including learning disabilities, emotional or attentional problems, executive functioning deficits and autism spectrum disorders, along with links to carefully-screened and reliable sources of additional information on these subjects.
Our goal is that this become an important resource supporting our clients and their families.
