Save the Date: 4th Annual UOD Family Book Event Tuesday, October 20th

From Understanding Our Differences

August 6, 2015

An Author Conversation and Book Signing
Tuesday Evening, October 20, 2015

This fall, UOD's popular book event will feature Fish in a Tree, and author Lynda Mullaly Hunt. This highly praised, middle grade children's book has a learning disability theme.

Every time Ally lands in a new school, she is able to hide her inability to read by creating clever yet disruptive distractions.

But with the help of a new teacher, she discovers that there's a lot more to her -- and to everyone -- than a label, and that great minds don't always think alike.

Recommended for grades 4-6.

Lynda Mullaly Hunt
Join us to meet author Lynda Mullaly Hunt at Understanding Our Differences' 4th Annual Family Book Event on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 PM. She will discuss, read from and sign copies of Fish In A Tree.

Hunt is the author of the children's book One for the Murphys, the recipient of many honors. She is a former teacher who lives in Connecticut with her family and pets.

"Filled with a delightful range of quirky characters and told with heart, Fish in a Tree explores themes of family, friendship, and courage in its many forms."
